Materials Science Company Footprint Appoints Hilla Sferuzza to Board of Directors

Gilbert, Ariz., December 8, 2021 -- Footprint, Inc., a global materials science technology company focused on creating a healthier planet, announced today it has appointed Hilla Sferruzza as an independent member of its board of directors. Sferruzza has been the chief financial officer and executive VP for Meritage Homes Corporation (NYSE:MTH) since 2016 and its chief accounting officer and SVP, corporate controller since 2008. Prior to Meritage, she served in various management roles at Starwood Hotels and Resorts Worldwide, Inc. (NYSE:HOT), subsequently acquired by Marriott International, and as a public auditor for KPMG.

Background on Hilla Sferruzza
Ms. Sferruzza is a Certified Public Accountant in the state of Arizona and is a member of the American Institute of CPAs, Arizona Society of CPAs, the National Association of Professional Women and Financial Executive International (“FEI”) and was voted Arizona Businesswoman of the Year – Real Estate in 2011 and CFO of the Year (FEI’s Arizona Chapter) in 2019. She earned her Executive Masters of Business Administration from Washington State University and her Bachelors of Science in Business Administration with an Accounting and Journalism emphasis from the University of Arizona. She is a frequent guest speaker at industry events and a commentator and contributor for various podcasts and finance and technology publications and has served as a board member for not-for-profit organizations and foundations. She is currently a member of the Arizona State University’s W.P. Carey School of Business Dean’s Council and Finance Advisory Board.
